Guardiola’s Press Conference Ahead Of Our Game Against Arsenal

Almost 100days without football , The champions are set to resume with a tough  match against arsenal on Wednesday night.Pep Guardiola held his first virtual press conference today and here’s what he said:

Hope you and your families are well. It’s nice to have routine. The way I live is the same as everyone - nothing special. All the people who lost family or friends, it’s a difficult time, but we have family to stay strong. We are waiting like everyone.

What is important is the health of people. But in the end, the Premier League decided that we have to play. We are going to play and we will adapt as quickly as possible.

Tomorrow we will see the level of the team and from there we will see what we can do better. All the teams have had just three weeks, three and a half. It is what it is. Everyone suffered during this situation - personally and economically, and we have to adapt.

We are ready to play one game, but three days after another and four days after another... we are not ready. We have to rotate and use all the players. The players are in naturally good physical condition.

 I'm excited to see (Mikel) again - one of the nicest people I have ever met.The game belongs to the players. We know each other and he knows everything of us.He is an incredibly important part of our recent success. He helped us be who we are.

Honestly there is no thought about Real Madrid or the UCL now. Normally I don't prepare games or ideas thinking much longer (ahead).All I am thinking about is Arsenal. And then how we recover and play against Burnley.

 What Raheem Sterling has done, Marcus Rashford or whoever - they have to use these platforms to make a better society. They don't need to get more money, so they get a better place to live, for their families, our kids, the next generations. Maybe these stupid people don't believe you are a human too. We can have an opinion - same as a nurse, doctor or politician. We are humans and why shouldn't we say our opinion when you believe you can make a better society, in the public eye. So that is always why, when people say it is not enough, of course it isn't but let’s start from here. I admire a lot of these kind gestures because they do it for all of us.

Guardiola on his Mancity contract:

 We have time to discuss this. We are going to finish this season. We have two months ahead of us and then we have time to talk about this. All I can say is, like I said since the first day, how delighted I am here. How happy I am, how comfortable I am with the players, backroom staff and board. I don't have any complaints about what the club has offered me from day one. We can do better, that's why we work every day, but extend? We will see, we have time.
