The long awaited return of the Premier League (Project Restart) begins this week with several blockbuster fixtures but nothing gets bigger than being treated to an
exciting tie at the Etihad on a Wednesday night. The duel between the boys
in sky blue and Arsenal would be keenly contested with both teams
having a clean bill of health and an array of returning stars to select
for the tie.
The Manchester city line up would be an interesting one
for Cityzens and Football Fantasy Fans worldwide, I expect Pep to go
with a 4-2-3-1 line up for the Arsenal game.
As expected Ederson
will undoubtedly retain his spot between the sticks being the undisputed first choice choice Goalkeeper for Pep’s army. Kyle Walker will take his place at right back for the
game, he has been quiet solid for city this season despite the turmoil
at the back. The center back pairing would feature the ever reliable
Fernandinho and the sorely missed Laporte at the back. To complete the
back line would be Benjamin Mendy.
At the base of midfield taking his
usual spot would be Rodri who has divided opinions amongst city fans
this season. Gundogan will form a partnership at the base of midfield
with Rodri as he’s done for a number games this season. Kevin De Bruyne
would play in a familiar attacking midfield position to exploit the
spaces behind the Arsenal midfield.
Most fans would love to see Leroy
Sane take up his familiar position on the left side of the attack all in
a bid of nostalgia but for this game Raheem Sterling would start there
as he’s done for most of the season. On the right side of the attack
Riyad Mahrez would like to pick off where he left off and continue his
rich vein of form. For a man who loves scoring against Arsenal, you just
can’t bet against Agüero starting up top to add to his 11 goal tally against
them.
